The City Vision Screener has been used in different types of schools and educational establishments to achieve differing goals.

For primary schools it is used as an attended screening tool to identify children who benefit from seeing an optometrist.

Once children develop and start to use computers for more demanding tasks then the testing can include ergonomic  functions.

The ergonomic advice provided helps to establish good computer work habits, especially the need for breaks and good posture.

Depending upon the environment, the children could check their vision in a classroom situation, this saves considerable time and children who struggle are more easily identified. However most schools prefer to test individually.

In addition the Vision Screener may be used to provide a screening service for members of the teaching and administration staff that use computers.
