Independent studies of the vision of drivers in UK showed that almost 20% failed the basic number plate test. What was of particular concern is that these studies were carried out at various service stations.

A special variation of the CITY Vision Screener  to screen the vision of drivers has been in use since 2003

Unlike the Vision Screener for computer users, the Drivers Screener must be overseen by an administrator.

It is typically run on Windows XP computers, however older PC’s and laptops running Windows 95 onwards can be used.

The Vision Screener can run on Windows 7 64 bit Professional and Enterprise systems.
